IA-NE #2
Woke up this morning in Nebraska and had a nice waterfront run. Where’d I go? Iowa.
This is in the middle of the Bob Kerrey pedestrian bridge, an 0.9km bridge where you can run the “Bob marathon” (going across it).
After that, we got the day going at Cafe Postale. Vibes were cool, would be a good working spot, but food and drinks were mid, and they gave us part of the order wrong.

Met up with Dani after that and spent so much time at the “imaginarium” - a vintage nerdy collection store. The range of trinkets was insane.
The Joslyn art museum was the next destination. Free admission and worth so much more! Going to an art museum with an artist is also a game-changing experience.
And then. Y’all. Lunch.
Go to Omaha. And then go to Yoshitomo.
Come back after that if you don’t want to stay. Fly in and out on the same day.
Creativity, service, and quality were unparalleled. This was the best sushi I’ve ever had. And it was in Omaha, of all places. More photos at the end, if you’re so inclined.
We can’t travel anywhere without ice cream and Omaha is the home of butter brickle ice cream.
Next was a candy shop that was also a vintage collection (but not store?) and had a whole room of pinball machines? Sign me up - Hollywood Candy.
And that’s Omaha! Cool city, surprisingly fun, lots to do. Drove back to Des Moines and got pupusas and so much else at a small Salvadoran restaurant, La Cuscatleca, which was a great end to the day.
