Come, Receive the Light!
Photos of Holy Week and Pascha!
It is the Day of Resurrection! Let us be radiant, O people! Pascha! The Lord's Pascha! For Christ our God has brought us from death to life, and from earth unto heaven, as we sing triumphant hymns!
A new page on this site is live and up-to-date! I’ve been taking photos for church here and there throughout the year, but especially during Holy Week and Easter. Photographing events is both fun and tiring. By the end, I needed a break and put the camera down for about a week, but I’m back to it.
I’m very happy with how the pictures turned out. It took some time to get comfortable embracing the camera in this space - moving around the church, being “public” without being disruptive. After a few conversations, a few days, and making a few friends with other photographers at the church, it got easier… and I think the photos got better too.
It was a great experience having so much back-to-back photography, giving me lots of time to try swapping lenses on the fly, learning which lenses I like more/less than others, changing settings, and just shooting different scenes and lighting, with enough in common each day to make helpful comparisons.
There are so many photos, but I culled it down to the top few for each day… and of course I couldn’t resist throwing a few bonus photos into this post. If the whole “Church 2026” page is too long, at least check out the Holy Week through Pascha photos at the end! Alternatively if that’s not enough photos for you, I can send a larger link ;)
Let God arise and let his enemies be scattered, and let those who hate him flee from before his face!As smoke vanishes, so let them vanish, as wax melts before a fire. So let the wicked perish at the presence of God, but let the righteous ones rejoice. This is the day the Lord had made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Christ is risen from the dead trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs, bestowing life!

you are incredible!! thank you for showing your talents with us!!
